Welcome to the Expectant Hope blog!  I have been riding the infertility rollercoaster of emotions since August 2010 when my husband and I began trying to conceive.  I was 29 then and married for three years.  We were optimistic and enthusiastic at the beginning of the journey, thinking every month would be the month.  When it wasn’t, and my doctor and I moved into more aggressive treatments, things started getting tricky.

Infertility is a deeply personal topic, one filled with denial and disbelief, grief and loss, hope and love.  My journey has been at times a solitary one, sitting alone in doctor’s waiting rooms, relying on the knowledge and experiences of strangers in online discussion boards.  I began writing Expectant Hope in the hope that it might help someone else out there understand her own experiences with infertility through the stories, connections and resources posted here.  Know that you are not alone and that with hope, all things are possible.
